Description

Every holiday season car dealers spend a lot of money trying to break through the advertising clutter. For Honda, 2014 was no different. We needed to get noticed and help bring customers in the doors, all while creating a fun and memorable campaign. To do that, we used something everyone can connect with: toys. So we employed some of the most iconic ‘80s and ‘90s toys, like Skeletor®, Jem®, Gumby®, Stretch Armstrong® and Strawberry Shortcake® to remind people of the joy they felt when they first got that one special gift. And tell them that they could experience that same joy again by getting a new Honda.

Execution

Each toy duo performed their rendition of a holiday classic, fighting for views and a grand-prize donation to their affiliated charity.

Outcome

The toys’ performances reached a combined total of over 15 million impressions and played a pivotal role in Forbes labeling Honda as one of the most prolific brands on social media. All in all, “Toy Tunes” was a key player in naming the 2014 Happy Honda Days campaign the highest-selling and most successful one ever.
