Background

Before buying a car, people always check if it fits their lifestyle. But due to distribution & confidentiality issue, most newly-launched models are usually not available at dealers until later on. The new cars are only reachable at the launch event which is never the ideal place to do the lifestyle check as it is not accessible for everyone and the space is usually crowded. So when Honda launched the All-New CR-V in 2017 under the concept “Nothing’s Out of Reach”, we wanted to expand the possibility of reaching our new car to where people could experience it in their real life.

Execution

'Reach CR-V Anywhere' can be downloaded to use for both iOS and Android system. The app is really simple to use. It works on any car with properly installed license plate. By just scanning any license plate, users can experience the exterior and interior while checking the key features of the car. They can even snap the photos of their virtually new car from the app to share on social medias.
