Description

The Nick Jr. Crafty Creatures are a series of Stop Motion Channel Idents targeted at the Preschool audience of Nick Jr. There are 3 Spots for each season and in each spot we witness the creation of an animal out of recycling material which is than is placed into a seasonal scenery to help reveal the Brand Logo. The Spots intend to trigger the creativity of the young and inspire them to see throwaway things differently. Everything was done Inhouse or rather Inbasement.

Execution

We wanted to make a handcrafted campaign where the "touch ability" of things play an essential part. The usage of classical Stop Motion and Pixilation therefore was the first choice. Everything is supposed to look real so that the magic of inanimate objects coming to life works it’s magic for Pre-schoolers and their parents.

Outcome

Nick Jr is a brand that stands for playful creativeness. These Channel Ids shall be a direct translation of this core brand value into moving images. Children are encouraged to see everyday throwaway objects with different eyes, finding the shapes of animals in yoghurt cups and other materials. Nick Jr is a place where the creatures of their imagination can come to live!
