OVERVIEW

Description

This spot covers the sheer magnitude of the games – all the countries, all the athletes, all the sports that will be on display during the games. This isn’t the kind of event that happens everyday – this is big – and it’s coming our way.

Execution

The spot features a visceral cover-recording of “READY OR NOT HERE I COME (CAN’T HIDE FROM LOVE)” by The Delphonics was created by Mischa ‘Book’ Chillack with the great Ethero on vocals. Created by these two ex-pats out of Book's Los Angeles studio in 2013, this gem of a track that has been a target to license since hearing it in development. The INVADE’ Pan Am Games spot cried for something epic and this track delivered on all fronts. Big, Bold and Brash. It screams ‘READY OR NOT HERE WE COME”. The arrangement is, however, far from in-your-face with an arrangement formed by restraint and spacious sonic tones while driving your heart beat upwards with thunderous building percussive swelling cacophony. We also recently partnered with Book on the launch of Canada’s hottest and newest beer Coors Altitude with a remix of “So Cruel” by emerging stars, Young Empires - SOCRUEL.CA

“The day they presented the music of this commercial – with that haunting, anthemic voice of Esthero, who was born in Stratford by the way – we all say, ‘Oh my god, that’s it.’” - R. Holgerson (OTMPC)

The Delphonics classic "READY OR NOT HERE I COME (CAN'T HIDE FROM MY LOVE)" has been covered by everyone from The Fugees to Jackson 5, sampled by Missy Elliott & Three 6 Mafia, and recently used in Grand Theft Auto V. But it’s never been heard or experienced like this. Created by Canadians for Canadians with a world-class flair and global bravado that puts focus on this international event in Canada's largest city of Toronto.
