Description
The Jaguar MusicDrome was the first turntable in the world designed to be played by a car. And the DJ was the SUV itself. Based on accurate calculations for construction, we created a circular track that mimicked a turntable allowing the F-Pace to drive at comparatively the same speed of a record. The circular track was sloped at a daringly 73 degree angle. By tracking the car with a 360 degrees camera which was installed in the center of the track, the F-Pace controlled the music. The faster it drives, the faster the music goes. The higher the car drives, the louder it gets. The driver behind the wheel was perfect: half daredevil, half DJ. He used the F-Pace itself to play music and rev up an electrifying launch party.
Execution
Based on accurate calculations for construction, we created a circular track 16 meters in diameter, 10 meters high, and 75 degrees in angle, using 70 tons of iron with 20 craftsmen on board to complete the job. This design allowed the DJ (which is the F-Pace) to drive at comparatively the same speed of a record. By tracking the car with a camera, the F-Pace controls the music. The faster it drives, the faster the music goes. The higher it drives, the louder it gets.
An SUV car has never before raced a construction of this kind. Popularly known as the" wheels of death" these type of tracks are reserved for motorbikes and fast racing cars. Only a light-weight SUV like the F-Pace and Jaguar's superior performance made this feat possible.
