Description

Each September, the Mid-Autumn Festival honours the end of the year harvest. People celebrate this occasion by typically exchanging moon cakes. Although it’s tradition, the gifting of cakes is highly unmemorable and boring. Being a creative agency, this was our opportunity to stand out.

Execution

The Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as the Lantern festival, with the belief that bright warm light ushers in good luck and fortune. So we designed a beautifully handcrafted, die-cut greeting card that folded out into a lantern. When powered by an attached candle, it projected our Mid-Autumn wish onto an adjacent wall.

Outcome

All of our clients applauded the craft. Word spread about our design abilities. We won some major new business with mentions of the greeting card.
