Description

Launching a series of capsule toys of the endangered species in harm (sharks, rhinos, elephants and bears). The capsules are free to draw from the vending machine. When people put together the figure, they will find one of the body pieces missing (shark’s fin, rhino’s horn, elephant’s ivory and bear’s paws); and from the instruction sheet inside the capsule, they will learn about the reality cause for the missing piece. After making a donation to The Nature Conservancy, the donors will receive the missing piece and a certificate.

Execution

An event was hosted at three of the stores at major department store Aeon at a weekend in March. People are given a free token to draw capsule toys from our vending machines, then fundraisers of The Nature Conservancy would educate parents and children on the importance of protecting endangered animals while they play with the animal figure toys. In the end the fundraisers will encourage parents to sign up for donations.

Outcome

Since the of launch of Learn from the Missing Pieces,

- ZERO media $spend

- 750 participants in ONE WEEKEND

- Achieved the HIGHEST percentage of total Conservation Champions sign-up in one month since The Nature Conservancy’s membership program launched in 2013
