Description

In this film a young boy drags a lifeless girl from the surf. He proceeds to calmly administer CPR with the experienced surety of an old hand. When the girl is revived and coughs up water a slight of hand reveals that the boy is in fact and adult - the girls father. The simple visual metaphor exposing the idea that he used the skills he had learned as a young boy Scout to save his daughter's life; skills he learned young, but has remembered forever.

Execution

We uploaded the commercial to the Scouts SA YouTube channel and released it on several industry sites and to the media. The film was quickly picked up by hundreds of blogs and local media including television and radio stations. The film achieved millions of Rands in earned media for the Scouts that they could not otherwise afford.
