We asked an athlete to tell us their Olympic story using the Royal Canadian Mint’s very own language—coins. We also needed a spokesperson that everyone recognized who could speak both French and English fluently. That’s how we ended up asking Alexandre Despatie to tell us his life story as an Olympic hopeful using our lucky loonie.
