This film sees outdoor fashion brand, Kathmandu, launch Biodown, its first biodegradable jacket. It talks about how the jacket is made for the great outdoors, but if it were to end up in landfill, well, that’s not so bad, because it’s totally biodegradable.

To talk to its durability we see the jacket outlive its owner, as it goes and goes and goes and goes. But, again, if it were to end up in landfill, it would go away.

We continue talking to the benefits of both scenarios, with the help of cartoon birds, a puppet ibis and claymation microorganisms, all before ending up in the living room of a disinterested couch potato who happens to be watching this ad on TV.

The film ends by telling us that BioDown is ‘Made For Out There’ (nature) and ‘Biodegrades in here’(landfill) before finishing on the Kathmandu logo and line, ‘We’re Out There.’
