Description

Instead of advertising coupons, turn our advertisements into coupons. A series of animated mobile GIF banners were created which were in fact coupons.

Execution

Since our target audience was young and tech-savvy demographic delivering these coupons through mobile devices was the best option. The first frames communicated that all you needed to do was to make a screenshot. After a few seconds, the banner transformed into a coupon with a barcode large enough to scan them at McDonald’s restaurant.

Outcome

The exact results cannot be measured as McDonald’s in Poland doesn’t count the coupons at the restaurant. However, the entire coupon campaign overall resulted in McDonald’s reaching their sales targets.
