Nando’s is a South African Peri-Peri chicken brand that is known for its irreverent advertising through social commentary. The brief from Nando’s was to promote their 'Meal for 6' during the festive season; whilst creating ‘talkability’ around the brand.

The “Last Dictator Standing” radio campaign takes its cue from the much-publicized fall of several dictators in 2011. The ads make fun of Robert Mugabe - one of the last-standing dictators - hard-pressed for someone to dine with during the festive season. Through the three different executions, the radio ads portray “Bob” Mugabe desperately seeking company for the festive season.
