Description
Celebrating the automobile’s 125th birthday, we launched an online campaign hub which provides an overview of all measures and events throughout the year. Fascinating contents in sections “Experience history” and “Shaping the future” are complemented by an emotional campaign special: a Happy Birthday-spot. The charming video takes the user right into a magic scenery: “night at the museum”. Darkness falls as the lights shut down. Absolute silence. The camera takes the user amidst Mercedes-Benz cars from all ages. And suddenly one of the car’s horn blows. While the tone fades, another car comes along blowing its horn. The silence is broken and more and more cars – followed by the camera – form a chorus and finally create a certain melody – the “happy birthday”-song, which concludes with framing the honoured one: the “Benz Patent Motor Car” – the world’s first automotive.Along with the plain video, we provide a second version that can be individualized. Featuring the possibility to integrate pictures and a text message, users can send unique birthday greetings to friends or family.
