Background

On the occasion of the automobile and art fair in Paris, Mercedes-Benz presents itself in the beautiful gardens of the Musée Rodin. As part of the appearance, a brand campaign is to be brought into the space as a physical experience for the first time: The "Magical Garage" of the "Showcasing Innovations" campaign will be brought to life.

Idea

A walk-in installation forms an isolated experience space that sends visitors on an immersive journey. They find themselves as the protagonists of the campaign, float through the various settings of the Magical Garage and explore the pioneering innovations of Mercedes-Benz in a playful way.

Strategy

The automobile and art fair provides the ideal location and audience for the immersive campaign installation. As the experience is detached from the actual product, both automobile and art enthusiasts are addressed and with them a wide range of potential new clients.

Execution

Surrounded by numerous LED modules, the visitor is completely immersed in the fantastic visual worlds of the Magical Garage while a Dolby Atmos system provides distinctive sound. Face and voice recognition react to the visitor's behavior and create an individual experience. The 360° multimedia installation is thus not only a walk-in work of art, but a unique cinematic experience for visitors.

Outcome

The "Magic Garage" installation served as a popular photo spot for many visitors and the motif achieved a high reach on social media. Following the trade fair, also numerous consumer and trade media reported on the 360° multimedia installation. The perception of Mercedes-Benz as an innovative brand that constantly reinvents itself could thus be increased.
