Description

In the week before Christmas, when we were all preparing our Christmas meals and gifts, the Red Cross wanted to wake up the world. Therefore, we edited horrible news footage of the war on Dean Martins classical Christmas song “Let it snow”, giving the lyrics a whole other meaning. This impactful film was sent to the press and spread on social media on December 23th.

Execution

We started from the well-known song “Let it snow” by Dean Martin. When you look at the lyrics it’s all happy and snowy. When you look at the news footage of Aleppo, by what we were/still are confronted almost every day, a lot of footage turned out to fit perfectly on the lyrics. Sadly, not in a happy, snowy way, but in a rather confronting manner.
