Description
In different countries all over the world, we teamed up two experts with completely different backgrounds and challenged them to solve some real world problems. For over 8 weeks, each pair of experts dived deep into the problem at hand. Their process, from brainstorming to implementation, became a series of web documentaries. Through our social platforms, people could interact with the experts, give them new insights and collaborate on their ideas. In each country, we ended up with a brand new idea. In Australia, a neuroscientist and an industrial designer came up with a headband that helps prevent concussions. In Italy, a rally driver and a Youtuber developed a motorcycle windshield that connects with smartphones. In China, an Illustrator and an engineer developed an interactive character that made people pay attention to the traffic lights.
Execution
The campaign was implemented in five different markets from all over the world: Latin America, Italy, Australia, China and South Africa. Each campaign lasted around 4 months, in different time ranges depending on the country. It was brought to life in a series of 8 episode web documentaries in each country and hundreds of posts on social networks: Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Weibo.
Outcome
All over the world, we achieved some impressive results: a total of 33,4 million video views, 594 million impressions and 2,5 million users engaged. But our biggest achievement was the brand new ideas those experts developed. In Latin America, specialists in education and technology joined forces to develop an app that connects volunteers and NGOs. In South Africa, an entrepreneur and an executive coach made a social network to develop entrepreneurship.
