SOLUTION:Ginza is a popular business and shopping area, where an average of 500,000 businessmen commute daily.Here, we set up a billboard with a real time digital counter, which simultaneously indicates the number of runners jogging all over Japan.For 60 days, the counter showed the amount of people running at the very moment, and motivated onlookers to run.
Outcome
Statistically, 1 out of 4 people who saw the digital counter said that they want to start running. And the number of “au Smart Sports” members increased by 150,000 people.
