The NYPD's innovative policing strategies depend on their ability to gather, share and act on information. NYPD engaged IBM's Business Consulting Services to help them redefine how information can be used to fight crime. IBM implemented the Real Time Crime Center and the Crime Information Warehouse, which help officers solve crimes quickly and transmit information to their fingertips, while allowing them to communicate across boroughs with more efficiency.
