Description
During the biggest Congress of Urology in Brazil, electronic sensors were set up in a urinal. Through their own urine, doctors were able to answer the standard questionnaire by choosing one out of four symptoms related to prostate and bladder. Personalized information about the disease and its diagnosis were shown on the display according to the chosen symptom. A break for pee was all it took to reinforce the importance of the questionnaire and solve the problem of incorrect diagnosis.
Execution
We have turned a simple urinal into an interactive one with electronic sensors. Through it, it was possible to answer with one’s own urine the standard questionnaire that must be used during doctor appointment for the perfect diagnosis of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms.
Outcome
• Engagement of the main urologists in Brazil.
• Digital buzz generation after congress.
• Resumption in the use of questionnaire.
• Improvement in the quality of diagnosis.
• Also, the interactive urinal has collaborated to an increase of 65% in Astella’s medicine prescriptions.
