SABMiller’s Pilsner Urquell’s, a premium beer in a crowded marketplace, wanted to increase its brand presence among bartenders, as 30% of import beer purchases in bars are controlled by bartender recommendations, which are often based on what was promoted that day. To educate bartenders, Studiocom developed The Beer Advisor (www.beeradvisor.net) a broadband website featuring beer expert, and former bartender, Kevin Brauch, host of Fine Living Network’s "The Thirsty Traveler." Kevin leads bartenders through a tour of beer history, the significance of Pilsner Urquell (the first golden, clear pilsner), beer style basics, and two game-oriented educational sections on recommending beers.
