Background
Boysen, the Philippines’ leading innovative paint brand, created BUG OFF, a special paint with Artilin anti-pest technology. Upon contact with the paint, disease-causing flies, cockroaches and mosquitoes are killed. Boysen needed a campaign that would effectively demonstrate the technology and the beauty of paint.
Idea
To dramatize the paint’s unique pest-killing ability to consumers looking to repaint their homes, we launched a series of posters, one of which recreated the carnivorous Pitcher Plant as it consumed a fly.
Execution
The image of the plant was created using splashes of BUG OFF paint, captured through high-powered, high-speed cameras in precise trajectories.
Outcome
Posters were put up in light boxes around the city as well as Boysen Mix and Match stations in Ikea stores where consumers mix and purchase paints, heavily influencing their decision at point of sale.
This is the latest iteration to previous Boysen campaigns, “Flowers” and “Creatures.”
