As they were about to cross, people were confronted with the stark reality of the outcome of crossing tracks and the sight of these dead bodies on stretchers served to jolt them out of their suicidal habit. This activity was repeated after a couple of days at around the same place. Clearly establishing the practice of track crossing as a highly dangerous one.

The over all result at these stations was very encouraging. Track crossing deaths reduced by 80 %. The Indian Railway Authority is planning to extend this activity to all the 58 stations in Mumbai.
