Background

The number of dogs that need blood donation is rising in the Philippines. However, there is no network of dog donors that can readily give blood, mostly because of a lack of public awareness among pet owners. They don’t know that their dogs can donate blood. Blood banks that can store dog blood are also not possible in the Philippines because they are too expensive for businesses to invest in. Blood transfusions need to be done directly from the donor. This is why it is important to have a ready community of pet owners willing to let their dogs donate to pets that are in urgent need of a transfusion in order to survive.

Execution

The materials showed vivid closeup and mid shots of dogs against a clean, white background. The coat markings that were traditional to the specific dog breeds were turned into bright red. Copy that shared information about dog blood donation was placed on the upper left corner to complement the clean layout.
