The client is aware of the importance of retirement planning, but due to the long-term nature of the benefits he tends to adopt a passive attitude, not to act at all. The tax benefits you get at the end of the year with a PPR/E are therefore still the main argument for starting it.The best way to convey all the different savings options, according to each client’s age and monthly investment, was found to be through one of these folded paper fortune-tellers that children usually play with, which in Portugal are called 'quantos-queres' ('how much do you want?).
Outcome
A total of 60,000 mailings were sent and 2,000 clientes opened a PPR/E account. That represents a 3% response rate.
