We didn’t come to CES with a demo. We brought an amusement park. We created a VR experience that would not only blow conventioneers’ minds but also literally shake them to the core. By combining both live action and CG VR content in Samsung Gear headsets with specifically designed 4-D ride structures that move, sway, turn and rotate, we married the virtual with the physical. While others focus on the headset, we created a full-body, 360-degree immersive experience: the Samsung VR Wonderland.

Constructed in the entrance to the convention hall, our VR Wonderland, and its screaming participants, couldn’t be missed. Real footage and CG synched with specifically designed 4-D ride structures — including 4-D Sway Chairs, the Pulsar, the Skeleton, and The Gyro — taking participants on the journey of a lifetime.

Space Racing: Race through space, speeding through a series of ring obstacles, planets, asteroids and giant spaceships.

Skeleton: Pull up to 5 G’s and hit speeds of 130 KPH headfirst down 1,450 meters of ice track at the world’s fastest sliding center in Vancouver, Canada.

Air Show: Put on an acrobatic airshow in a high-powered stunt plane over stunning Sydney harbor.

Boat Racing: Ride a 12-foot dinghy with a high-powered engine and race through South Australia’s beautiful Murray River.

Robot Wars: Fight against your opponent in the middle of the city by picking up and throwing buildings.

Over the four-day convention, nearly 10,000 people participated in Samsung’s VR Wonderland. For the entirety of the weekend, the rides were at full capacity. Furthermore, screens showing onlookers what the people on the rides were seeing in their headsets kept the area around the Wonderland packed. The amusement park got glowing reviews from the press, including CNET, USA Today and Forbes.
