SHOCK THE GAME is a black-and-white short film about a summer journey by three grass-roots basketball players in 2017. Interleaved with precious historical archives, the film depicts China's young generation's efforts to express their feelings and attitudes through sport, as well as how basketball evolved as a sub-culture deeply rooted in contemporary China.
