Deutsche Telekom AG is one of the leading enterprises in the telecommunications industry. Our aim was to communicate the brand’s authority in the digital field, as well as its role as an innovation leader.
Therefore we created a Christmas card for Deutsche Telekomm’s clients and business friends that was not just a card, but a concert ticket. Because the image on the inside of the card was an AR code. Using their smartphone and an app, the recipients could “project“ the concert right onto the card itself and let it come to life. And the musicians performed the concert on modern smartphones and tablet PCs.
Recipients were therefore able to appreciate Telekom’s digital expertise for themselves – in keeping with the German slogan “Erleben, was verbindet” (life is for sharing).
The Christmas card was sent to more than 300,000 clients and business friends of Deutsche Telekom – all over the world. Because of the personal and innovative invitation, the "Smart Concert” app was downloaded by a large number of people. Unfortunately we do not have access to the exact numbers for intra-corporate reasons.
