Description

We continue the exploration of the feeling of “Smoooth by trying to push the concept through the viewer’s screen and into their body and soul. This time, we explore the connection between skin and sound, featuring a man whose belly wobbles to sound waves.

Execution

To effectively communicate Klarna’s message, we knew we had to achieve viral status with the “Smooth” film. To do this, we sought ways to creatively express the brand slogan of “Smoooth.” Turning the concept of “Smoooth” on its head, we decided to explore that idea as it relates to skin and the human body. After teasing out the idea, we concluded that demonstrating the idea of “Smoooth” would be most memorably executed by focusing on the ripple effect sound and bass has on skin and coupling that with witty voiceover dialogue, proper casting, and art direction.

Outcome

The “Smooth” film became a viral success. In just over a month, the film now has had more than 9.3 million views and that number continues to grow.
