The media team successfully answered the question–how do you top the hottest and largest movie release for 2002 when you bring it to home video? We developed a multi-media plan that recreated a buzz and stimulated a "must have" desire to own the Spiderman DVD. The plan colorfully painted 2 of the most visited search engines on the web–Yahoo and MSN-with a "New Year's Eve" Countdown to Spiderman theme. This implementation of explosive countdown creative built an anticipation and excitement for viewers as the release date grew closer. Spiderman resulted in being the # 1 best selling DVD ever.
