In the spot we see the relationship between a teenager and his stepfather. The stepfather is unceasing in his efforts to get along with his stepson; the stepson does not return the favor. It’s a tense relationship. It seems that nothing can bring these characters closer, until the mother reminds her son that they are both Atletico fans. From that moment on, and thanks to that essential connection, something changes. The teenager beings to allow this rapprochement and signals as much with a gift: two tickets to see an Atletico de Madrid football match. With the gift, the kid includes a message: “one match at a time”, the motto that represents the philosophy and spirit of the team: with effort and tenacity, anything is possible. Just as is the case with the relationship between children and stepparents: it’s an affection that has to be earned “one match at a time”.
