At their core, these films are aspirational documents that seek to capture the expansive nature of travel, of being engulfed by an experience. We knew from conception that 'Inner Worlds' required a unique visual grammar. We approached each location with two questions in mind: "How would this look for the first time?" "How would this feel for the first time?" We designed our approach around the answer. The poetic, almost Avant-garde style was meant to convey the external reality of each character, specifically what they saw, whom they met, and the places they visited, while the 'inner world' of their experience would provide nuance and style. Theatrical postures based on Romanticism, cinema-style blocking and variable camera speeds would help move us from the external to the internal, as one so often moves between being the witness and being the actor – our goal being the seamless transition between points of
