Description

A child's life in sixty seconds. From a desperate existence begging for money and sleeping rough on the streets, to a window of hope in the form of an education. This ad follows Sreynet at a crucial point in her childhood. This 10 year-old-girl was born into poverty. She spends her days begging for money to feed her and her sister. When she is finished, she sleeps rough - under a net by a street light - surrounded by the visual and aural chaos of the Phnom Penh night.

Sreynet has rights like any other child - such as the right to a childhood, and the right to an education. UNICEF is protecting these rights by providing her with adult guidance and education at the drop-in centre she attends. The ad asks for a regular donation to put it right for more children like Sreynet.
