Execution

To source the most charmingly Swedish content, the team watched hundreds of hours, spanning 50 years of Swedish Cinema, TV shows, movies, soap operas, commercials, games shows and musical performances.

Editing and creating these new films was an innovative live exercise.

No scripts. No shooting boards. No translations. No understanding of what the original film was about. Taking something in a different language, transforming it by reimagining, rewriting and reediting the Swedish content into a humorous commercial for Klarna, highlighting the app’s most popular feature - Pay in 4.

More than any other project we’ve ever worked on, our editor was a complete creative partner and instrumental in turning such an electric mix of historic Swedish content into modern social entertainment for a new millennial American audience.
