Description

A phone is no longer just a phone. It´s a device where you can frolic in all sorts of fun like messages, youtube clips, good sound, images and web surfing – and preferably without having to worry about the costs. djuice is a low-cost youth mobile communication brand that offers this exactly: cheap fun. The clay characters in the ads have been used by djuice for a while in promotional ads, and are well known to the audience.

Execution

The technique used is good old claymation, as seen in countless kids shows like Pingu and Wallace and Gromit.

You take a pile of clay, mould it to your desired shape, then move it 25 times a second for the desired effect!

Everything you see is done in camera, the only post done is rig removal and colour correction.

22 different sets where built to fit the 22 cm tall puppets.
