Description

This film is a celebration of the unique relationship between Futbol Club Barcelona and the city of Barcelona.

It’s about how when the club has the ball they become one with the city.

In nearly every frame of the film we dramatise this idea of unity through a unique editing device inspired directly by the layout of Barcelona from above.

A grid of buildings and streets, becoming a grid of up to 60 different films playing at the same time, edited and timed individually.

The grid pattern is dynamic, changing throughout the film to dramatise key moments when the club navigates the trials and tribulations on pitch, and how that directly affects the city and its people, each scene weaving together to create a symbol of unity. In the end, the editing idea of the grid creates unity between club and city. Just like the grid does in reality.
