Description
To avoid disappointments Burger King France launched the first Christmas paper that offers you a Whopper.
All people had to do was to come in our restaurants to get their special Christmas paper and invite their loved ones to bring it back to us intact so they can get a free Whopper in exchange.
Because having a (good) gift is nice, but it's always nicer with a Whopper.
Execution
We worked with specialists to create several high quality gift-wraps, of different colors, at the right size to be rolled and distributed in restaurants. We made different colors to give people choice, but also to make it easier to wrap a lot of different presents and to have something nice at the foot of the Christmas tree.
We launched this paper on social media and on PR with a short film explaining why you will make people happy with this paper, how you can get and use it, and we distributed 100 000 sheets in all our restaurants. We also used the pattern to decorate the restaurants by creating a Christmas / Burger King atmosphere and we sent samples to influencers.
Outcome
- 100 000 sheets distributed in all our restaurants
- More than 1 millions views in our viral film
- Over 7 million people reached
- More business generated between Christmas and the New Year’s Eve than previous years
And, for the first time, a fast food chain has been present on Christmas time in many French houses.
