Adidas presented us with the unique challenge for the 2012 holiday season – remind people what’s really important during the holidays. At a time when everyone else is screaming “BUY, BUY, BUY” adidas wanted to remind people why they are buying these gifts – because they love the people who they’re giving them to.
We solved the challenge by re-telling the classic tale “A Christmas Carol” in a Snoop Lion way. Animated by J.J. Sedelmaier (of SNL fame), this film was the perfect solution because instead of telling people to “buy” it delivered the message that people should give and give back to the ones they love. This changed how people viewed shopping and made it more positive experience.
