Description

“The Google Play Music Wall” is an interactive outdoor installation made up of over 3,000 headphone jacks, each playing a different song. Every panel on the wall brings to life a playlist for a distinct mood or moment. The playlists and songs constantly rotate throughout the day, and, along with the corresponding LED visuals, are customized for each environment. Using their own headphones or one of the available pairs hanging on the wall, passersby can plug into different places on the wall to experience the vast catalogue of music available on Google Play firsthand and find the perfect playlist for any moment. On a warm summer day the Music Wall would have playlists like “Sun Out, Vibe Out” or “Sunbathing With My Girls”. At a ballgame in San Francisco, the playlists would change and include different contextual playlists such as “SF Giants Ballpark Jams”.
