The fact that the threshold of being mildly deaf lies at 40dB, exactly the same level as the sound the paper makes as it is being torn, is what we used for our client Geers. We sent out a mailing with the first hearing test to do by yourself. Recipients must only tear the mailing and immediately would have a result. Connected with this was the invitation to go to a Geers store and possibly to take a professional hearing test.
Outcome
6,500 mailings were sent.
In the first three weeks after that, the number of concluded contracts in our advertised Geers shop increased by 50%. The number of realised hearing tests even doubled.
In the hearing aid-business, winning new customers or even concluded contracts is a very tough task due to the extra small and specific target group. That’s why the results of our hearing test-mailing exceeded our clients expectations by far.
