Description

Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day encourages people to wear their most festive sweaters and donate £1 to the charity. Sarah Lund, star of Danish TV show The Killing, is as renowned for her Faroe Isle knitwear as she is for solving murders. She was, therefore, the perfect person to promote the event. By juxtaposing the rather dark and foreboding nature of The Killing with our humorously crafted subtitles, we were able to produce an entertaining piece of viral content.

Sarah goes to extreme lengths to encourage her contemporaries to participate and also more importantly, pay their donation. Her iconic blue and white knitwear was changed to red to give it some festive flair. We embellished one of Sarah’s colleague’s jumpers with a flashing Christmas tree, bells and reindeer, amongst other things, for comic effect. To top off the film, the sounds of Elton John’s Christmas classic ‘Step Into Christmas’ fill the air.
