Description
The Publicis Golden Trash Can was created as an internal communication tool. The goal was to bring over 200 Publicis offices and their employees closer together. It´s a widget in which people can dump un-sold ideas, and share them with colleagues all over the world, in order to give their ideas another chance to come to life.
The tool combines modern Mac OS functionalities and pompous Louis XIX baroque style – an ambiance only a French network can offer for celebrating ideas. The result was a clear signal to the employees: At Publicis, we share more than just the same company name and balance sheet: It´s our passion for ideas and our fun working together that unites us.
Execution
The widget is designed to be used very intuitively in our daily work. It is placed right beside the original IOS trashcan. The usage is both intuitive and fun: a combination of modern Mac IOS functionalities and pompous Louis XIX baroque style.
Outcome
Just a few weeks after its introduction the Golden Trash Can became the most popular tool at Publicis, displacing the work time tracking tool, and the monthly revenue monitoring. A pleasant retreat in an increasingly serious advertising business world.
