Description

THE SCENT OF TIME is the first calendar that expresses time in the sensual language of perfume. Each day has an exclusive fragrance, making it possible to experience the year through different scents.

The year, month and day determine the base, heart and head notes. Precious natural elements such as Iris root and oudh (a rare Cambodian wood) produce delightful new blends tailored to the date and season.

Customers mix these essences directly on their skin to create each day’s unique perfume. The calendar provides a glimpse into perfume alchemy and a daily reminder of Weisswange’s unique creations.

Execution

THE SCENT OF TIME provides Kim Weisswange’s exclusive clientele with a glimpse into the mysterious world of perfume alchemy, reminding customers of her unique creations every day in the anniversary year 2013. This is the first time ever that the scent of time has been captured – a continually changing fragrance, just like time itself. To reach her customers on a personal level, Kim Weisswange personalised each calendar with a handwritten dedication.

Outcome

Kim Weisswange’s exclusive clientele were delighted. Many of them use the daily fragrances of THE SCENT OF TIME as a source of inspiration and starting point for their individual orders. The idea was featured in relevant blogs and generated valuable PR. Due to the positive customer feedback, Capital Cosmetics has already launched a second limited edition of THE SCENT OF TIME on the retail market as an exclusive lifestyle product.
