Description
Our target audience was potential advertisers wanting to partner with our network and embrace our unique approach to storytelling. But we also targeted internal sales teams and employees who were pitching and championing the brand on our behalf.
Execution
We’re a TV channel, so we had to take the look of something that lives on air and in motion and bring it into a print form. We did this by skewing typography and bleeding dynamic photography off the page to give the content a feeling of movement throughout.
The zine format is a nod to our punk and editorial roots. Imagery and type is often upside down or backwards, forcing the viewer to shift their perspective, which is an ethos of our brand. The newsprint format reflects our analog approach to TV and marketing--never slick, always straightforward and transparent.
Outcome
The ability to explain ourselves upfront with clients has improved our integrated marketing efforts and generated stronger collaborative storytelling with external partners. We’ve been closing more advertising deals and have developed a shared language and approach to working with brands.
