Description

When you have a car, you spend a lot of money. On maintenance, taxes, parking, gas… But if all of that doesn’t make you want to stop using the car, there's one thing that does: Tickets. Painful, expensive and frequent tickets.

So we decided to turn the bad news of receiving a ticket at home into free cab rides. All you have to do is: Open Easy Taxi's app. Enter your ticket’s barcode. And use the voucher to ask for a cab.

By doing this we not only gave 20 thousand cab rides, we gave a little push to drivers leave their car at home.

Execution

A mobile site integrated with Easy Taxi's app automatically generates discount coupons after you enter the barcode of a traffic ticket. The idea involved drivers in São Paulo with traffic tickets (which means almost every driver in the city) and 20 thousand rides are being exchanged until June, in other words, 20 thousand cars will be taken off the streets.

Outcome

The idea immediately caught the media's attention since it brings up polemic subject in São Paulo at the time: "the traffic ticket industry". People are using the app more than ever since everyone has their own ticket to ride. 20 thousand cab rides are being given until June, which means that we completed our mission, changing the behavior of car driving people and taking 20 thousand cars off streets.
