Find a way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Toyota Prius and the unique achievements that the community has helped make possible.
Execution
10 years doesn’t seem like much until you begin giving it context. We found that for every year that the Prius has been on the road, there were corresponding cultural milestones that naturally gave our 10th anniversary substance and meaning. Each illustration is centred around the most significant Prius event of that year, and then supported by cultural and social events relevant to the Prius core values. The illustrations are shareable through multiple social outlets and available as a download directly from www.ToyotaPriusProjects.com.
Outcome
The event was picked up for coverage by a range of media including Mashable, Wired, BusinessWeek, Forbes and the New York Times. The buzz around the event alone garnered approaching 25 Million earned media impressions. Prius fans are posting their own record breaking attempts and expanding the conversation into a social space. Thousands of feeds were viewed each day as the event was live, and several thousands more since the records have been posted on URDB.org.
