Execution

The exhibition took place on January 31st 2009, at the Davos Conferencevenue, in Davos, Switzerland. The “future T-shirt” incorporated a thin monitor at the chest, whichdisplayed messages through “images” rather than displaying “pictures” or“copies”. The T-shirt can actually be worn. Besides playing images, themonitor also served a presentation of installation images. A camera wasembedded in the hat the model was wearing and the images captured by the camera were played in real time on the T-shirt monitor.

Outcome

We are not certain as to exactly how this was reported in the variouscountries.

In Japan, we received TV news coverage and if we convert this in terms of TV CMs, the effect would amount to 130,000 USD.Participants from the various countries all took home a UNIQLO T-shirtimprinted with a Japanese “Manga” as a souvenir, and the 1,500 pieces ofT-shirts prepared were gone in a matter of several hours.
