Description

This is the starting point: that collective fear of not wanting to miss out on anything. Not wanting to look back and think, "I could have been part of that moment, but I missed it." Because, let's not kid ourselves, the first time around is always different. Especially when it comes to the first edition of a festival. Because that does go down in history. To have been at the first edition of something is not an opportunity that comes around again. That's the magic of first times. They're unique. The passing of time doesn't matter; in the end, they mark you forever.

This is the idea we have tried to transmit through a disrupted narrative with a final, unexpected twist and that, ultimately, communicates much more than a festival.

Execution

The intention was to approach it more as a short film than as an advertisement. To achieve this, different elements were introduced, using different shots and travelling and panning camera movements, filmed in 50 frames per second to make the sequences even more dynamic. The combination of natural and neon light, a retrofuturistic prop, lends the story certain timelessness, and the editing intends to maintain the viewer's attention until the very end. The absence of sound contrasts with the very personal narrative voice and sound effects that subtly evoke the festival atmosphere. And then the denouement materialises in the mirror. An everyday object, but one that, in this case, breaks with logic to give meaning to everything. An accumulation of elements that, together, result in an aesthetic and unexpected piece in equal measure.

Outcome

The video has not been published yet. The airing time is the upcoming April 25th.
