Description

Dtac, part of Telenor Group, commited to empowering people with mobile technology. We wanted to give visually impaired children better opportunity to learn classical music instruments. So we invented a mobile application called “Visible Note”, an application that converts music sheet into guiding voice. So the visually impaired children can practice their instruments without barrier. They can use both voice command and screen touching to open an app, select songs, play, pause, rewind, forward with convenience, making practicing classical music instrument much easier.

Execution

The Visible Note application uses Solfege guiding voice system to guide visually impaired users, because it is a single syllable system can indicate every note.

Users can use both voice command and screen touching to open an app, select songs, play, pause, rewind, forward with convenience.

Outcome

Today, the application is used by lots of music schools for the blind in Thailand, visually impaired children has a better chance to learn classical music like ordinary kids. This proves Dtac’s belief that everyone can be empowered by our mobile technology.
