Recreating one of the most classic films in the history of advertising is hardly an easy task, much less with so many iconic characters.
The briefing for the production was very specific: viewers had to think at first that they were watching the original commercial.
To make that possible, we had to go through an intense casting process to find seven actors who physically resembled the actors who filmed the original 50 years ago.
Haircuts, wardrobe, and the search for actors who could recreate the scenes exactly closed out our painstaking casting process.
The only difference between the casts is deliberate – the nephew, Harold. The actor we chose resembles the original character, but his wardrobe was adapted to fit a modern look.
