But what is the best way to show that you save every cent to make the lowest-possible offers? By saving every cent. That is why we developed the first postage free mailing in the world by hijacking others: the parasite mailing.The clever bit: We seized already stamped addressed envelopes from direct marketing promotions of other companies. Envelopes marked 'We take over the postage' or 'Postage paid'. And then simply put a sticker on them advertising the Volkswagen partners' low-priced service and accessories offers.

Outcome

The mailing exceeded all expectations of the Volkswagen dealerships since the response rate went up to 3.25 % (with only 2% projected). Besides, the mailing caused great amusement by the recipients - and also by the accountants at the Volkswagen dealerships.
